We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Closing Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting our Closing Agents to ensure the smooth finalization of title insurance policies and documentation, adhering to industry standards.
Job Summary
The Closing Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting our Closing Agents with various tasks from reviewing real estate contracts and legal documents to ensuring all closing fees are assessed accurately. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Document Review: Assist with scrutinizing real estate contracts, title commitments, and other pertinent legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Fee Assessment: Calculate and verify all fees associated with the closing process, ensuring compliance and accuracy to prevent financial discrepancies.
- Communication Support: Manage incoming phone calls, directing them appropriately and assisting with client inquiries.
- Compliance and Collaboration: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies while working closely with the Closing Agent to confirm the accuracy of all customer information and policy details.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance, including data entry, filing, and maintaining organized records.
- Business Development: Assist in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities to enhance our market presence.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with standard office software.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma is required, with an Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within the title insurance or real estate sector.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work long periods at a desk and use a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
